A brainrot obby is an obstacle course themed on Italian brainrot, the AI-made meme creatures with chanted, fake-Italian names. The characters do one of three jobs: chase you, block you, or wait at the top as the prize. The format took off on Roblox in 2025, the same year the meme did. ## Where the meme met the obby Italian brainrot started on TikTok in early 2025. Tralalero Tralala, a shark in sneakers, is widely called the first one and is usually credited to @eZburger401 in January 2025, though the exact origin is unclear. Tung Tung Tung Sahur, a wooden log with a bat, followed in late February from Indonesian creator @noxaasht. Obbies were already the simplest format on Roblox: jump, fall, respawn at the checkpoint. Swapping the lava for a chanting shark costs a builder little and gives the course a face. Escape from TungTung's Tower, a tower obby from the Lowkey Brainrots group created in June 2025, had passed 100 million visits by March 2026 according to the tracker Bloxodes. Don't Wake the Brainrot Tower (October 2025) adds a twist: sleeping brainrots sit on the platforms, and you wake them to knock rivals off. Fortnite creators publish brainrot tower obbies too. Off Roblox, Italian Brainrot Obby Parkour by CursoraLabs, a web game from May 2025, has three worlds (Tunnel, Tower and Stairs) and a two-player mode on one keyboard. Google Play lists Brainrot Tower Obby, a 3D tower climb for Android. ## Six brainrot stage ideas - **Chant floor**: Tiles flash in time with a nonsense name chant. Step on the beat or the tile drops. - **Fruit-animal conveyor**: A belt carries giant fruit-animal hybrids over the gap. Ride the pineapple walrus, skip the melon goose: it sinks. - **Coffee cup towers**: Hop across steaming mugs. The hot ones give you one second before they launch you. - **Pillow bomber pass**: A plane-headed pigeon flies over and drops pillows that bump you sideways. Read the shadow, not the sky. - **The drummer behind you**: A wooden chaser starts at stage one and speeds up each time you fall. Checkpoints buy distance, not safety. - **The secret path**: A harder side route ends at a rare golden creature. On phones, put a checkpoint every two or three jumps, because thumbs miss more than keyboards.
